What is GNETS?

The students served within the South Metro GNETS Program have significant social and emotional deficits which impede learning in a traditional classroom setting.  Some specific behaviors include; extreme social withdrawal, disruption, off-task behavior, misconception of social cues, tantrums, physical aggression and self abuse.

As students make progress toward mastery of social emotional behavior goals listed in their Individualized Education Plan they are evaluated for transitioning into a less restricted learning environment with faded reintegration support.

South Metro GNETS works with Local Education Agencies to reintegrate students receiving GNETS services back into the Less Restrictive Environment.  South Metro Reintegration supports are designed to support students and receiving school staff.
